Brief: Capture the inaugural Hororata Night Glow, including all of the aspects of this incredible, colour balloon festival. This event is highly weather dependent so we had to be prepared to cover all aspects and change the plan quickly, no matter what happened on the day.

How:

Prepared for any possible weather situation (and it was looking like it would rain), we took our mobile kit to Hororata to film all aspects of the event.

The event was spread out across the domain with a food and wine tasting barn, kids festival activities, food trucks, stage with performers, a cold inflated balloon for people to walk inside of and the main event, the balloons ready to be lit up against the night sky, synchronised to music.

Thankfully the weather held just enough for the event to go ahead as planned and our mobile filming team were able to move around the whole festival to capture all aspects of the event and crowd.

Use:

The final video was utilised as a ‘memory’ video, to be shared on social media and again as a marketing tool for the following years’ event.

Results:

The second Hororata Night Glow grew 40% in attendees and the video has had more than 5000 views.
