Corporate Imagery Terms and Conditions

This agreement is between the client who is addressed in the quote, hereinafter referred to as the “Client” and Parallax Films, hereinafter referred to as the “Suppliers”.

General & Payment Terms

  1. A written or verbal booking and receipt of the deposit confirms the client booking with the supplier

  2. For new clients, we require prepayment in full

  3. For existing clients a 50% deposit is required before commencing the project and to secure your date. This deposit is non-refundable, but can be held for up to three months in credit towards another project

  4. For video projects: The remaining fee is due on acceptance of the video draft, prior to the finalised video being released. If this is not paid, the suppliers reserve the right to withhold your video until all debts are paid. In the event that any monies are outstanding, a late fee of 5% will be charged per month or part month overdue

  5. For photography projects: The remaining fee is due on acceptance of the password protected, watermarked images and once received, the images will be made available for download.

  6. All prices shown do not include GST. GST will be added at the time of invoicing

  7. When there is the inclusion of a professional voice over, any alterations requested to the voice over after it has been confirmed, will incur additional charges

  8. Changes to any graphic or visual elements after confirmation of the final video is accepted with incur additional charges

  9. Re-shoots due to information not provided by the client to the supplier will incur additional charges

  10. Your video will be filmed and produced based on a brief provided to the supplier or a video strategy written by the supplier

  11. Travel within a 30km radius of Cathedral Square in Christchurch is included in our package prices. For locations based outside of this area, a travel fee will be added to the booking

Cancellation:

  1. Cancellation: Should the client cancel the suppliers’ services, the following applies:

    • Within seven days of the booked date - the full payment is not-refundable

    • Prior to seven days before the booked date - the deposit amount is non-refundable

  2. If the suppliers are too ill or become injured and cannot supply the services as agreed, the suppliers will do their best to provide a replacement videographer or photographer or reschedule the booked date. If a replacement or alternative date cannot be found, any monies paid by the client will be refunded. The suppliers cannot be held liable for any losses incurred due to illness or injury.

Inclusions:

  1. The clients consent to happily cooperating and communicating to achieve the best possible result. The suppliers accept no liability for anything not captured if they were not made aware of it in advance

  2. Where aerial filming/photography is included, we will STRICTLY only fly our drone in areas where we can legally and safely do so. Permissions must be gained at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of filming

  3. The copyright of raw footage and photos remains with the suppliers. Raw footage and photos will not be released. This protects the clients from unedited footage falling into the hands of inexperienced editors

  4. The clients grant the suppliers consent to use their video footage and photos for promotional purposes, editorial, competitions, without restriction

  5. If there are adverse weather conditions on the day of filming or photography, the suppliers will do their utmost to continue as best as they can. However, professional camera equipment has limitations in bad weather. The suppliers may contact you prior to the day of filming/photography to arrange an alternative date

  6. The suppliers are professional editors. They will produce the clients final video and photos in a professional and creative way as per their editing style. If you have specific editing requests, please ensure these are conveyed to the suppliers PRIOR to confirming your booking as this may incur additional charges and can impact on the filming and photography style

Property Imagery Terms and Conditions

This agreement is between the client who is addressed in the quote, hereinafter referred to as the “Client” and Parallax Films, hereinafter referred to as the “Suppliers”.

General & Payment Terms

  1. A submitted Property booking form and receipt of the deposit for the chosen package confirms the client booking with the supplier

  2. For Vendors and all new clients:

    1. Payment is required in full, prior to filming, photography or 3D scanning

    2. We reserve the right to not attend the booked day/time if payment has not been received in advance

  3. For Real Estate Agencies:

    1. Invoices will be sent at the end of each calendar month for work undertaken during that month. Payments are due within seven days of invoice.

    2. In the event that any monies are outstanding, a late fee of 5% will be charged (from the due date) per month or part month overdue

    3. A deposit will be required for any bookings outside of Christchurch

  4. 3D tours will be hosted online for three months. Additional hosting is available.

  5. All prices shown do not include GST. GST will be added at the time of invoicing

  6. It is your responsibility to have the property ready for filming and imagery purposes at the booking time. The suppliers take no responsibility for filming, photographing and/or scanning properties which are presented in an untidy manner or have items in view which you or your client are not happy with e.g. building materials, unnecessary items left around the house or property, etc.

  7. At the time of booking there must not be any contractors on site due to noise and visual interruptions. If there are contractors onsite, the suppliers reserve the right to charge an additional fee for rescheduling the booking to an alternative date when it is ready to be filmed. We prefer if the home owners/tenants are able to also leave the property whilst we capture imagery. For 3D scanning, the property strictly must be vacant for the scanning process.

  8. Changes to any graphic or visual elements after confirmation of the final video is accepted with incur additional charges

  9. Re-shoots due to information not provided by you or your client to the suppliers will incur additional charges

  10. Travel within a 30km radius of Cathedral Square in Christchurch is included in our package prices. For locations based outside of this area, a travel fee will be added to the booking

  11. If the suppliers are too ill or become injured and cannot supply the services as agreed, the suppliers will do their best to provide a replacement provider or reschedule the booked date. If a replacement or alternative date cannot be found, any monies paid by the client will be refunded. The suppliers cannot be held liable for any losses incurred due to illness or injury.

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Changes to a booking within 30km of Christchurch:

  1. Cancellation: Should the client cancel the suppliers services, the following applies:

    1. Within 24 hours of the booked date/time - the full payment will be charged

    2. Prior to 24 hours of the booked date/time - no charge

  2. Rescheduling the booking (except for rain)

    1. Within 24 hours of the booked date/time - a rescheduling fee will be charged

    2. Prior to 24 hours of the booked date/time - no charge

  3. Changes to the booking (except for rain)

    1. Within 24 hours of the booked date/time - If the changes result in a lower priced product than the original booking, the original price will be charged

    2. Prior to 24 hours of the booked date/time - no charge

  4. Delayed access to the property

    1. We have a set amount of time allocated to capture imagery of the property as per the booking. If the suppliers are held up due to (but not limited to) stagers still on site, the agent being late, the vendor not being ready on time, contractors onsite, we will do our best to capture what is required, but if we are unable to in the remaining time available, a full reschedule fee will be charged equal to the amount of the entire booking.

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Changes to a booking further than 30km outside of Christchurch

  1. Cancellation: Should the client cancel the suppliers services, the following applies:

    1. Within 72 hours of the booked date/time - the full payment will be charged

    2. Prior to 72 hours of the booked date/time - already paid for travel/accommodation fees will be charged

  2. Rescheduling the booking (except for rain)

    1. Within 72 hours of the booked date/time - the full payment will be charged, unless we are able to reschedule the booking to fit in with existing travel arrangements

    2. Prior to 72 hours of the booked date/time - already paid for travel/accommodation fees will be charged

  3. Changes to the booking (except for rain)

    1. Within 72 hours of the booked date/time - If the changes result in a lower priced product than the original booking, the original price will be charged

    2. Prior to 72 hours of the booked date/time - any affected travel/accommodation fees which have already been paid for will be charged

Inclusions:

  1. The booking form allows opportunity to identify any special features or details which should be included in your imagery. If anything changes, the client must notify the supplier in writing, no later than three working days prior to the bookeddate to ensure there is time to incorporate changes as best possible.

  2. The clients consent to happily cooperating and communicating to achieve the best possible result. The suppliers accept no liability for anything not captured if they were not made aware of it in advance

  3. We will STRICTLY only operate our drone in areas where we can legally and safely do so

  4. If we are unable to capture aerial footage, additional featured ground footage will be filmed and included in your final imagery to make up for this

  5. The copyright of raw footage and photos remains with the suppliers. raw footage and photos will not be released. This protects the clients from unedited footage falling into the hands of inexperienced editors

  6. The clients grant the suppliers consent to use their imagery for promotional purposes, editorial, competitions, without restriction

  7. If there are adverse weather conditions on the day of filming/photography/scanning, the suppliers will do their utmost to continue as best as they can. However, professional camera equipment has limitations in bad weather. The suppliers may contact you prior to the day to arrange an alternative date

  8. The suppliers are professional editors. They will produce the clients final video and photos in a professional and creative way as per their editing style. If you have specific editing requests, please ensure these are conveyed to the suppliers PRIOR to confirming your booking as this may incur additional charges and can impact on the filming style

  9. The suppliers agree to provide high quality services as per the quote provided. Delivery dates are as outlined in your quote. Urgent supply can be arranged for an additional fee

  10. Images will be edited true-to-life any additional editing required outside of this is available by request and will incur an additional editing cost

  11. The supplied imagery video(s), photo(s) and 3D Tour are for the intended recipient(s) only and cannot be used for any other commercial purposes in their entire or part form, nor re-edited without prior written consent of the suppliers

Wedding Videography & Photography Terms and Conditions

This agreement is between the wedding couple who are addressed in the quote, hereinafter referred to as the “Client” and Parallax Films, hereinafter referred to as the “Suppliers”.

  1. A submitted “wedding booking form” form and receipt of the deposit for the chosen package secures your wedding date and confirms the client booking with the supplier

  2. The deposit amount is non-refundable, but can be transferred to an alternative date within 12 months of the original date if required

  3. The remaining fee is due no later than one week prior to your wedding date. If this is not paid, the suppliers reserve the right to not attend your wedding or withhold your videos until all debts are paid. In the event that any monies are outstanding, a late fee of 2.5% will be charged per month or part month overdue

  4. Cancellation: Should the client cancel the suppliers services, the following applies:

    1. Within seven days of the wedding date - the full payment is not-refundable

    2. Prior to seven days before the wedding date - the deposit amount is non-refundable

  5. Travel is included for weddings within a 30km radius of Cathedral Square in Christchurch. For wedding locations outside of this area a small travel fee applies

  6. A pre-wedding consultation is the opportunity for the client and suppliers to meet and go over details for the wedding. The suppliers will advise around planning, logistics and timing where required. If anything changes, the client must notify the suppliers in writing, no later than one week prior to the wedding date to ensure there is time to incorporate changes as best possible, into the imagery

  7. The clients consent to happily cooperating and communicating to achieve the best possible result. The suppliers accept no liability for anything not captured on the day if they were not made aware of it in advance (as above)

  8. If any of your guests do not wish to be captured on camera, the suppliers will do their best to avoid them, but cannot be held responsible where these guests are included in a crucial moment

  9. Your guests may bring their own devices or cameras to your wedding. To assist us to capture the very best shots we can on your special day, we ask that you agree to give the suppliers precedence over your guests in regard to access for filming and/or photography. (In cases of video only, we work together happily with your official photographer). It’s often helpful to ask your celebrant to request that guests choose not watch and listen to your ceremony rather than take their own photos or video.

  10. If there are rules imposed by your venue, celebrant or other supplier involved with your wedding which state that filming and/or photography is not allowed under certain circumstances, the suppliers will adhere to these rules. This means, there is no liability on the suppliers for limitations of filmed or photographed imagery specifically due to these rules.

  11. The copyright of the raw footage and images remains with the suppliers. raw footage and photos will not be released. This protects the clients from unedited footage and photos falling into the hands of inexperienced editors. The suppliers grant permission to the clients to have and make copies of the final videos and photos under the following conditions:

    1. The videos and/or photos are for personal use only by the clients

    2. Sale, publication or any commercial use of the video and/or photos is not allowed, unless by written arrangement with the suppliers

  12. The clients grant the suppliers consent to use their video footage and photos for promotional purposes, editorial, competitions, without restriction

  13. If the suppliers are too ill or become injured and cannot supply the services as agreed, the suppliers will do their best to provide a replacement videographer and/or photographer. If a replacement cannot be found, any monies paid by the client will be refunded

  14. It would be very much appreciated if there was a small meal available and a place to sit (this can be in a staff area, away from your guests) for the videographers and/or photographers as they will be working over dinner time. If you are unable to provide the suppliers with a meal, they will need to go off site for one hour, interrupting imagery services

  15. If there are adverse weather conditions on your wedding day, the suppliers will do their utmost to continue filming and/or taking photos as best as they can. However, professional camera equipment has limitations in bad weather. The suppliers take no responsibility for any missed footage due to adverse weather conditions

  16. The suppliers are professional editors. They will produce the clients final wedding videos and photos in a professional and creative way as per their editing style. Minimal changes may be able to be made to the wedding videos by request of the clients, but this is strictly at the discretion of the suppliers

  17. The suppliers agree to provide high quality services as per the chosen package. Videos and photos will be delivered no later than twelve weeks after the wedding date, the suppliers will provide them earlier if possible

Live Streaming Terms and Conditions

The agreement is between the client who is named, hereinafter referred to as the “Client” and Parallax Films, hereinafter referred to as the “livestreamers”

General & Payment Terms

  • A written or verbal booking and receipt of the deposit confirms the client booking with the livestreamers

  • A 50% deposit is required before commencing the event. This deposit is non-refundable, but can be held for up to three months in credit towards another project

  • The remaining fee is due seven days after the event. If this is not paid, the livestreamers reserve the right to withhold your video files and take your stream offline until all debts are paid. In the event that any monies are outstanding, a late fee of 5% will be charged per month or part month overdue

  • All prices shown do not include GST. GST will be added at the time of invoicing

  • Your video will be filmed and produced based on a brief provided to the livestreamers

  • Travel within a 30km radius of Cathedral Square in Christchurch is included. For locations based outside of this area, a travel fee will be added to the booking

Cancellation: Should the client cancel the livestreaming services, the following applies:

  • Within seven days of the event date - the full payment is not-refundable

  • Between one month and seven days before the filming date - the deposit amount is non-refundable

  • Prior to one month before the event date - the deposit amount can be transferred to another date

  • If the livestreamers are too ill or become injured and cannot supply the services as agreed, the livestreamers will do their best to provide a replacement. If a replacement cannot be found, any monies paid by the client will be refunded. The livestreamers cannot be held liable for any losses incurred due to illness or injury.

  • The clients grant the livestreamers consent to use their video footage for promotional purposes

  • If there are adverse weather conditions on the day of filming, the livestreamers will do their upmost to continue filming as best as they can. However, professional camera equipment has limitations in bad weather.

  • The livestreamers are professional editors. They will produce the clients final video and photos in a professional and creative way as per their editing style. If you have specific editing requests, please ensure these are conveyed to the livestreamers PRIOR to confirming your booking as this may incur additional charges and can impact on the filming style

Requirements:

  • Good quality live streaming requires high-speed, reliable, wired internet access. If this is not available, the livestreamers cannot guarantee the quality of the live stream

  • In the event of technical problems, the footage from the live stream is saved as a backup file and will be loaded online for viewers to watch after the event

  • For events which have audio equipment supplied by an AV supplier, the livestreamers’ will require an audio feed from the mixing desk. The livestreamers cannot be held responsible for problems with audio on the livestream which is being provided by an external supplier
